Blogger or Wordpress: Which is the Best For Blogging?

I have always pondered on which is the best blogging platform to use for blogging and updates. Currently two widely known platform are used which are Blogger and Wordpress. But you need to know that both has its own advantage and disadvantage. The purpose of this post is to guide you and point out the differences in the two widely used blogging platforms. You should be able to decide which is best for you and your kind of work.

Actually, there is no doubt that having a blog can make you a lot of money. Blogging is a brilliant idea for generating traffic and building relationships with your prospects and customers.
You probably know you NEED a blog, but what blogging platform should you choose - Wordpress or Blogger? This is the main concern here!

Firstly. Let's take a look at Blogger:

Blogger is a free service by Google that allows you to set up a blog in literally minutes. Simple go to blogger.com, register for an account and you're ready to go. You may then customize it by hosting it with Google.
Blogger makes it easy because you don't have to worry about uploading your blog or buying web hosting - Blogger takes care of it all, and there are a variety of professional themes to choose from too. All you need to do is post the content to it and you are done.

Disadvantage:

The actual big problem however, is that your blog is never really your own. It's hosted on someone else's server - and because of this it means you're effectively controlled by Blogger's actions, terms and policies. If they want to shut your blog down today then you will be in BIG MESS!

Now Looking @ Wordpress:

Though Wordpress is slightly more complicated to set up (you'll need your own hosting, and you'll have to upload the free Wordpress software, etc) but if truth be told it's actually pretty easy, get a mentor to show you or keep on following this blog and in my future post, more word press issues shall be talked about.

With a Wordpress blog YOU own your blog. Nobody can come along and shut it down - it's all within your control. You buy your own domain and hosting!

There are other advantages of a Wordpress blog too. There are literally thousands of themes you can choose from and a whole host of 'widgets' you can add on to increase the functionality of your blog.
So Wordpress or Blogger?

If you're looking to set up a blog that you want to use over the long term then my advice is to choose Wordpress. Blogger has it's uses too - if you need to set something up within a few minutes. I have a couple of word press blogs too but currently am solely focusing on this blog. Posting on Blogger, in addition is very quite easy and fun.

So which ever you are deciding to use. With more practice and regular postings, you will familiarise yourself with either of these platforms.

Kudos fellow Blogger!
