The 2012 Calabar Carnival Festival is here again. This is the Africa's Biggest street party taking place in Calabar Cross River State, Nigeria. This festival was created as part of the vision of making the Cross River State in Nigeria the number one tourist destination for Nigerians and tourist all over the world.
The carnival normally starts on every 1st of December
and last till 31st December has boosted the cultural mosaic of Nigerian
people while entertaining the millions of spectators within and outside
the State, and boosting industry for all stakeholders.
Today marks the beginning of the Biggest street party starting with the children who have come along with their parents and love ones and continues with the adult party tomorrow 27th December, 2012. It's time to be in Calabar and enjoy!
The Carnival started since 2004 and has since presented a perfect platform for brand visibility for consumer and market awareness. The carnival aimed to include more aspects of local heritage and culture
and at the same time strengthen the capacity of the locals to
participate in an economically beneficial way.
The event has hosted top Nigeria musicians, Nollywood Actors, Politicians and international artists.
For me am heading to the Calabar International Stadium now to have some groove.
